THE PRODUCER'S INTRODUCTION Like flying, producing films about aviation is a very demanding work : you’ve got to know what you are doing every inch of the way ! Looking back on all those years of experience, thinking about all the great people I met and had the priviledge to work with, I would like to thank all Air Force Staff, pilots and dedicated fans like you for their kind and loyal support during all those years.

Flying is elemental. It can be gentle, like the first soft breeze of spring, when all the world is shaking off the winter and coming to life. But flying can be like the lightning and the thunder, it can be violent and turn your blood to fire. And it can be like the swallows dancing in the sunset, swift and precise, an aerial dance that lingers on the back of your eyelids long after the sun has set. We can talk about aerodynamics all day long, but what In a world that moves fast, touches only briefly, has forgotten how to laugh or dream, racing madly here and there, chained to Ipods and other electronic toys, where aircraft have become instruments of terrorism, we want to remind you what it means to sit on the grass and watch the sky. We want you to remember how great it feels to see a plane roaring about in majestic grandeur. We want you to look at these great pilots, these aerobats, those magnificent dancers who make airplanes do things that airplanes simply can’t do… Helping you to discover the beauty and the magic of flying is perhaps our greatest goal. On behalf of all the pilots, air force and aviation authorities who have helped and supported us for so many years, we thank all the aviation fans from all over the world who have been loyal to us during all those years... |
